Advocacy

LifeDream will help you whether or not you have the resources to fully engage in the programs we have to offer or those programs offered by our network of partners. And we will serve any level of craniofacial condition. In fact this is probably one of those rare moments when "bad" is truly "better".

What LifeDream does care about... the only thing , really, is a willingness not to give up or settle for second best. Craniofacial conditions do not default to "second best only" options for those who live with these conditions

With that in mind LifeDream will spare none of it's resources to advocate for and the arranging of medical and support services offering the best possible holistic approach in delivering whatever treatment is necessary and available. If it serves in the opportunity for hopes, dreams and wishes to be realized LifeDream is relentless in it's committed toward that end.

Medical Research

Although responding to craniofacial deformities has seen a surge of treatment possibilities in the last 30 years, the gap between what is possible and what is necessary continues to be staggering. Substantially for the one literally born without a face or the one, who in the practice of serving their country, suffered a disfiguring facial wound for which thre is limited treatment options currently available.

LifeDream has made a commitment to be on the forefront of sponsoring research seeking the effective treatments for the over 36 craniofacial conditions present in our country and the world at large.

Training and Development

Programs to assist various groups in understanding the psychosocial impact that a craniofacial defect can on a person, especially when left untreated. These programs will offer innovative and positive ways to join the work of diminishing the impact that a crandiofacial deformity has on a person.

Political Change

1. Support legislation that ensures that all persons living with craniofacial conditions are able to pursue all possibilities allowing them to experience themselves to be fully human and fully alive
2. Lobby for changes in health insurance companies to include benefits for adults with craniofacial defects wanting medical and support service assistance
3. Person-centered and process driven programs and services that support persons with craniofacial deformities, their families and friends.

Fund Raising

LifeDream is in the process of engaging in an extensive fundraising campaign that will eventually meet the immediate and long term needs of the individuals and groups we serve.

Our fundraising program also provides opportunities to engage in cutting edge research and training programs to increase the opportunities of exceeding the service hopes and expectations of those living with disfiguring facial disabilities.
